ROCKY MOUNTAIN PUPPETS: DIVE IN AND DISCOVER YOURSELF July 1, 10am-11am, Buena Vista River Park Pavilion. Rocky Mountain Puppets entertains the whole family with an island shipwreck puppet and ventriloquism show for the whole family.

TIN CUP ART FAIR July 1, 10am – 5pm, Tin Cup Town Hall. Artists from the Taylor Park and Tin Cup sections will showcase colorful watercolors, barbed wire floral garden art, stained glass sun catchers, woodland animal mosaic wall hangings and more. FLASH FISHING-ART FUNDRAISER July 2, 9am-5pm, Art Tent at 116 F Street Mall, Salida. Seven fishing-themed artworks will be offered for donations of varying amounts to Trout Unlimited’s Collegiate Peaks Chapter. There are fly tying demonstrations throughout the day and a box of 60 individually tied flies is available by donation.

Alphabet Story Time Fridays (except first Friday of the month), 10am Each week we focus on one letter with stories and a craft to learn our alphabet and build a personal letter book to take home. 2 to 5 years, siblings welcome.

Art for Kids Tuesdays, 10:00 am This special 10-week art class series encourages children’s fine motor skills and expression through tactical and creative projects. Wear your messy clothes. Classes are limited to 20 people, including adults.

Animal Crackers Wednesdays through May 18, 10:00 – 11:00 am Teacher Laura Hart, registered early childhood educator and member of the Salida Circus, leads this exciting program to help children develop gross motor, fine motor and social-emotional skills build up. Age 2 – 5 years old. Younger siblings can attend with a caregiver.

Wiggles & Giggles Thursdays, 10am – 11am Unstructured, free play and socializing for toddlers and carers. Age 0 – 5 years old.

Coding Club Fridays through May 20th at 4pm Learn from fun and easy online coding tutorials, build a community through interactive activities, and develop skills to create animations, games, apps, and more!

Reading to Rover Wednesdays, 3:30pm Research shows that reading to dogs can increase children’s reading skills while developing social and emotional skills. That’s why at the BVPL we have friendly dogs that sit with people, one on one, while they read. Any reading level or age is welcome. The reading times are assigned 15-minute blocks.
