CONSTANTLY

USED ​​BOOK COLLECTION: Book donations are accepted Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the New Wilmington Borough Building, 124 High St., New Wilmington. No encyclopedias, textbooks or VHS tapes. The books will be sold at a sale benefiting the Kiwanis Club of New Wilmington and Boy Scout Troop 733. This sale is scheduled for August 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; 9am to 7pm Aug 12; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 13 at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 330 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.

DANCE: Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Scott Township Firehall, 3712 Harlansburg Road (Route 108). Sponsored by the New Castle Country Music Association.

COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDIES: Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., The Confluence, 214 E. Washington St. Lunch available for purchase. One chapter per week in the Gospel of John. Bring the Bible or a phone with a Bible app. Sponsored by First Presbyterian Church.

GLORY GRILLE: Complimentary meal, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of each month, First Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Jefferson St. Meals are funded in part by the Carolyn Knox Foundation.

BRIAR BROOK BARN MONTHLY BARN SALE: 10am to 4pm on the second full weekend of each month, 330 Eastbrook Neshannock Falls Road. Women’s Clothing, Metal Sign Makers, Handmade Soaps, Farmhouse Signs, Antiques, Vintage Items, Reclaimed Furniture, Home Decor. Food and coffee vendors on both days. Amish Saturday Donuts. NEW WILMINGTON AMPHITHEATER CONCERTS: July 19, 6 p.m., New Wilmington Borough Park. Grocery Vendor: Pizza Joe’s. Performance by the USAF Heritage Brass Band.

SPAY/Cat Spayer: July 20, sponsored by the Lawrence County Animal Relief Fund. The cost is $75 which includes rabies and distemper vaccinations, flea treatment and ear mite treatment if necessary. BOOK BOOKING: 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 28, Lawrence County Historical Society’s Clavelli Mansion, 408 N. Jefferson St. Susan Hougelman, author of “Inside the Simple Life: Finding Inspiration Among the Amish,” talks about her book speak and sign copies of the book after the discussion. Reservations are $5 per person and must be made prior to the event. Attendees can also tour the Clavelli Mansion at 5:00 PM for an additional fee of $5 per person. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (724) 658-4022.

FIREWORKS VIEWING AND TOUR: July 30th, Lawrence County Historical Society’s Clavelli Mansion, 408 N. Jefferson St. Refreshments such as hot dogs, ice cream, and soda are available for purchase from 7pm to 10pm. Looney Toons perform at the Historical Society Annex from 7-8 p.m. courtesy of the Historic Warner Cascade Theater Museum. Guests can stay to watch the fireworks from the Clavelli Mansion’s front porch or lawn. Reservations are not required and participation is free. Attendees can also tour the Clavelli Mansion at 7:00 PM for $5 per person. Reservation is required for the tour. For reservations, contact the Lawrence County Historical Society at (724) 658-4022.
