The 43rd Westport Weston Family YMCA Point-to-Point Compo Beach Charity Open Water Swim will be held July 10 from 7am to 11am.

The swim is one mile long and starts near the Compo Beach Cannons, located at 60 Compo Beach Road in Westport.

All proceeds go to Westport Weston Y’s water programs to improve water safety in the community such as: B. Swimming lessons for children and adults.

The event is divided into four runs based on ability. Intermediate swimmers have the first run at 8:00am, Intermediate the second run at 8:05am, Beginners start at 8:10am and the Special Needs run starts at 8:15am with the My Team Triumph group.


The Westport Weston Family Y partners with My Team Triumph, a national non-profit ride-sharing organization created for children, youth, adults and veterans with disabilities who would otherwise be unable to compete in endurance events such as the open water swim. road races or triathlons.

Athletes with special needs who wish to participate must register with the organization in advance.

Early registration is $50 and can be completed online at westporty.org/43rd. In-person registration on the day costs $60 and can be completed from 7am at Compo Beach

The top three men and women will be awarded. Registered swimmers receive an official point-to-point swim cap and t-shirt.
