CINCINNATI – The weekend is here and there’s plenty to do including music festivals, pet adoption events, races and more. Whether you want to dance at Paul Brown Stadium or relax with a beer and celebrate Christmas in July, there’s sure to be something for you this weekend. Here are the top nine events happening around the Tri-States this weekend:

Record fair in the Rheingeist bar

On Saturday it’s time to swap, shoot and listen to great music at the Rheingeist brewery’s record fair. The event will feature more than 10 tri-state record sellers with a nice selection of records, as well as private collectors. Aside from the vendors, there will be an old-school vinyl DJ, a vintage pop-up shop run by Jet Black Vintage. Alongside a curated beer selection from Rhinegeist, Mazunte will serve tacos to attendees.

Cincinnati Music Festival

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Cincinnati Music Festival is back in the Queen City — and it’s bringing none other than Janet Jackson with it. The three-day festival, which has sold more than 90,000 tickets, kicked off Thursday night at the Andrew J Brady Music Center and the music continues at Paul Brown Stadium on Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be bought here. Aside from the music itself, Cincinnati is also home to many accompanying events — some of which may have their own place on this list.

Pups & Pints ​​at HighGrain Brewing Co.

What could be nicer than drinking a cold beer? How about a cold beer surrounded by dogs? Well, that’s exactly what HighGrain Brewing Co. is offering on Sunday and its first-ever Pups & Pints ​​event. The Save the Animals Foundation will be represented at the brewery with adoptable dogs, photos and resumes of adoptable cats, raffle baskets and information on how to get involved with the foundation. If you’ve been looking for a furry best friend to adopt, this is the perfect event for you to attend – while enjoying a beer or two.

Findlay Market’s 170th Birthday Celebration

Findlay Market has been a fixture in Over-the-Rhine for more than 100 years – 170 to be precise – and celebrates that anniversary on Saturday night. The 170th anniversary celebration features food, drink and craft vendors. There will also be live music, a cake cutting ceremony, sparklers, balloon art and face painting, live screen printing and more. After the event, there will be a “North of Liberty” block party featuring several businesses in northern OTR – such as La Ofrenda, Bar Bar OTR, Rookwood Pottery and more – with special offers and discounts for customers.

Queen City 5K

The Queen City 5K is raising money to support children in the greater Cincinnati area and is hosting its fifth annual race on Saturday. Walkers and Runners will help provide programs, resources and scholarships for elementary school children through high school seniors who are on their way to college through the Queen City Foundation. The 5 km, which runs through downtown Cincinnati, starts at 8 a.m. and people of all ages can walk or run. It costs USD 35 per adult and USD 20 per child under 18 years old.

7th Annual Price Hill Creative Community Festival

Hosted by ARCO Cincinnati – a performing arts venue and events in Price Hill – the Price Hill Creative Community Festival celebrates the Price Hill neighborhood through the arts. The mission of this year’s festival is to “reunite our community through music, learning and being together,” according to the event’s website. The festival uses collaborative arts to build more creative, equal and connected communities, and this leads to its artist-in-residence project ensembles, which are diverse groups creating brand new artworks together. Aside from the arts, the festival features food trucks, tours, live music, and activities for all ages.

West Side’s Christmas in July

Santa Claus is coming to town…in July…with West Side Brewing’s July Christmas Party this weekend. The brewery, which began celebrations Thursday, will host a Cincinnati Children’s Hospital toy ride benefiting Hopple Street Health Center, a special holiday beer release and more. The brewery itself will be adorned with lots of decorations, so put on your Santa hat or reindeer antlers and head to the brewery. For those interested in participating in the toy drive, West Side is asking people to bring a new, non-gift wrapped toy to donate.

Hamilton Fairfield Antique & Classic Car Parade

The Hamilton Fairfield Antique & Classic Car Parade celebrates classic vehicles and takes place in downtown Hamilton on Saturday. The parade is open to all American and foreign vehicles manufactured between 1896 and 1997 that are in restored or original condition. No modified cars or street rods will be encouraged to enter. This weekend’s parade marks the 68th annual parade and in addition to the parade, the event will also feature awards for Best Pre-War Show, Best Post-War Show, Best in Class (there are 11 vehicle classes) and Accolades.

Feast 513

Festival 513, celebrating its 16th anniversary, is Cincinnati’s premier retail festival, coinciding annually with the Cincinnati Music Festival. The festival will feature around 100 merchandise and food vendors and stalls. The festival is hosted by the OurStory Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving African and African American arts and culture. Aside from Festival 513, the OurStory Foundation hosts the OurStory Book Fair & Expo annually in February.
